I have been to Italy, Milan last month. And this is my experience with Airport. Malpensa Airport is not huge airport but it's very neat n tidy. Immigration and security staff is very friendly and helpful. Airport lobby are very good.
Only problem in Italy is language. These people dont know English much. If you ask questions in English then these people will give you answers in Italian language. So you have to be patient while talking with them.
Biggest worry to reach malpensa airport is the distance from Milan city. It's almost 75 mins drive from City. But don't worry as the roads to airport are superb. You can reach airport early as you can drive at a speed of 100-110 easily not like Mumbai.
If you are reaching Malpensa in the night and want to reach Milan city then dont take private car as it will cost you around 85 euros. You can have Bus service which will cost you 5 euros only. Such a huge difference.
Buses are good. Only problem is take care of your luggage. Dont keep your luggage box otherwise keep constant watch on your luggage at bus stops or else you will end up losing your luggage. It has happen in front of me!!!!!!!!! The poor old man was running here and there for his luggage as somebody has stolen his luggage from Luggage Box!!!
While coming down from Milan to Airport, bargain with Taxi Drivers who will take you down to Airport within 60-65 Euroes not less than that.
