For thousands of office-goers who have to spend an hour or so while standing in a local train compartment, getting pushed and jostled all the time, Mid-Day make life bearable.
I have bought it off the newsstands several times a week for years together. My only problem is that the news vendors don't deliver it at home -- so I miss it on Saturdays (usually).
Why do I like it? It's writing style is straightforward and simple, easy to understand, contains very few difficult words. It gives news items from the suburbs of Mumbai, which the morning newspapers often ignore. And it has columns by Rahul Singh, Tavleen Singh, Abhay Mokashi, and others which are quite interesting. What more can anyone ask?
