I purchased Microtek Twin Guard 1000 VA UPS in 2014 from a retail shop. As soon as I plugged it for initial charging for nearly 24 hours, to my surprise, it did not charge. I immediately called the customer care centre, as the product was under warranty. After verifying the model details, they gave me a complaint number and asked me to take the UPS to a nearest authorised microtek service centre. I did the same and the guy at the service centre replaced its faulty circuit plate without any charge. After that it started functioning normally and is giving good backup without any interruption. It comes with two 12v, 7.5 Ah sealed lead-acid batteries. It gives a power backup for nearly 3 hours for my laptop as my laptop's battery is not working. It is quite bulky though, may be because of two batteries inside. I am fully satisfied with the backup of this UPS and the prompt service by microtek.
