Micromax Canvas 5 is a premium phone with stylish looks and sleek design. Its launch was awaited and I bought 2 phones in January 2016. One for myself and one for my grand mother.
This phone is super stylish, sleek and has all the upgraded features. Company launched them in 2 colors - blue and golden brown. Both look beautiful.
Like every youth I do almost everything on phone and I have not faced any problem like - system hanging or restart issues. My grand mother does not finds smart phones easy but uses this phone efficiently. I am happy that she is having a good experience with touch screen.
So far(May 2016) this phone is working good with us.

Front camera and its auto correction modes are good. Fabulous for selfie lovers.
Phone built is sleek, neat and stylish. You can actually flaunt holding this phone in your hand.
Flash for Front camera. Another goodness.
Touch screen experience is great as comparative to another android phones in market.
Negatives
It takes long time to completely charge.
3GB RAM sounds good, but only 1.3GB RAM is always used by system .
Battery is non removable. This is a huge negative. My phone accidentally slipped in a water bucket and just because of non removable battery, it is dead now. Contacted customer support and they said they can replace the phone, if I pay almost the same amount as I bought the phone.(!)
Network. Phone shows full signal but it has some technical issues and you become unavailable for anyone who is trying to contact you. This happens occasionally. This is the reason Micromax discontinued the phone and launched Micromax Mega Q417 in Rs 10,000 range.
For the last reason mentioned, I will not suggest anyone to buy this phone, if they find it in the market.
