Micromax has emerged as the No. 2 company in the smartphone segment in India after Samsung. Micromax is popular for selling budget smartphones, the company has recently started producing mid-to-high range smartphones under 20k category. The company has now launched the Bolt A075 smartphone in the entry level segment.
OS & Processor
This smartphone comes with the dated Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich Operating System, though the OS is outdated it still has Google Services and Google Playstore on board for the Apps and Games. On the processing front the Bolt A075 smartphone houses a 1.2GHz Dual-Core Processor paired with 512MB of RAM. It would not give you a very rapid multi tasking rates but for this processor a 512MB RAM will help user with decent performance.
Hardware
The Micromax Bolt A075 is in the phablet race with its 5.2-inch massive WVGA display with a resolution of 480x800 pixels. The display is based on TFT technology and has support for 16-million colors along with multiple touch inputs. This massive smartphone is powered by a 2, 200mAH battery which according to Micromax gives a talktime of 480 minutes.
Camera & Memory
The Camera specs of this device are little impressive, there is an 8.1MP rear snapper that has LED and autofocus features. For video calling Micromax has equipped this camera with a VGA resolution camera. Like other Bolt series phones this one also comes with limited built-in storage, there is mere 512MB of user available memory in this phone. But Micromax tries to make up for that with a micro SD cards slot that can take up to 32GB of memory.
Media & Connectivity
Playing media on a massive display is likely to be appreciated by a lot of users. The only drawback of the massive display on this phone is its low resolution. One may not get a very good quality output like the HD display but for this price we are not complaining on that front. It comes with dedicated music and video player with support for a few formats.
