Service below standard. Review on Micar Car Rentals

I availed the service of Micar Car Rentals at New Delhi in 2013 while moving to this city to attend my relative’s marriage ceremony. I had to travel from Delhi airport to Lajpat Nagar of New Delhi. I found this car service outside the airport.

The car was indica whose look reflected that it is not well maintained or it is too old. My expectation while entering into the cab was that it is a professional tour operator with all basic conditions of cab service. After moving few kilometers away from the airport, I found that the AC was not working properly due to which the inside of the cab remained hot.

There was no meter inside the taxi to generate automatic bills. When I asked about billing system, the driver replied that it is fixed on kilometers basis and showed a chart in a paper which was not authentic because it was not stamped by any Government authority. Also, the rates in comparison to other cab services in other major cities of India were on the higher side.

The time of travel by road from New Delhi airport to Lajpat Nagar is around 35 to 40 minutes where as it took more than one hour which later on I came to know the route followed by driver was the longer one. Also, the driver made two halts in the way and insisted to have some refreshment items from a particular restaurant despite of my wishes which indicates there commission based approach. The communication was also not humble. Also, I had to pay higher charge despite of my questioning to them. Frankly speaking, that one hour of journey in this cab operator was uncomfortable zone for me and I would never recommend opting for this cab service in this part of India.
