Hi, I must admit the MI products offer good price to product value, I have purchased and tested 5 models of mobiles, air purifier, bluetooth headphones, bluetooth speaker, wrist band and headphones. Most of the products work very well and gives you satisfaction until you you need to get them serviced, my experience of MI authorised service was very bad and in-fact I just dropped the idea of getting my MI mobile serviced and purchased a new mobile from Oneplus.
My Mi4 back cover had colored patches so I went to the MI authorised service centre at Model, Town, Market Ludhiana. After getting the unit checked by an attending engineer called by the receptionist, informed me the unit need to be deposited with the service center to order a back cover as it was not available ex-stock. I asked the price which was about 1000/- bucks I requested them to order one for me against full payment as advance, but they insisted that the unit has to be deposited until the back cover comes(approximately 6-7 days). I told him as my phone is otherwise working fine and I can use the same and they can inform me when my part comes also they will be having the full amount as advance, so there should not be any problem to order. But they declared they need to deposit the mobile only then a job can be raised. Then I asked, if you can give me some working phone as to use in the meantime but they also refused it, so I was not left with any other option but to call their toll free number to check what engineer said and to my surprise even they confirmed the same.
So I want to tell you that this is the situation of many companies which comes to India to make money but at the time of giving service they just become ill-logical. MI.COM is one another example.
So you can see their service attitude, they just want to dictate their terms in the name of the service, but this can't go anymore as we have to become aware and say "NO" to the companies which are not customer friendly.
