But many of the TV serials are repetition of usual stories and boring and very slowly moving. But some serials really are worth watching for its realism, natural acting by the casts, direction, homework in the script and interesting twists and turns in the script. Metti oli(Tamil) is one such serial.

Metti oli is a Tamil TV serial that is telecasted in SUNTV for the past 1.5 years. The story is about an old man and his five daughters. The story revolves around the five daughters and their problems after their marriage. The story is usual but the charactreisation, screenplay, and natural dialogues, natural acting by all the cast makes it interesting. It has lot of twists and turns in the story. Each character you see on the serial look like your neighbor and you can often see such characters in real life. There are no exaggerations in the characters and scenes. There are many scenes that are emotional but not sentimental and that makes the youngsters also to watch the serial. The ladies in the serial don’t cry unnecessarily. Can you believe that many of the students in my hostel watch this serial.

Do you know that Metti oli serial has been recommended for Guinness records. Because, they have taken a single scene, which continues for half-an-hour, in a single shot without any cut in the middle and it is also telecasted in a single day without any commercial break. It is very difficult to continuously shoot a scene for more than 10 minutes it needs a lot of practice and lot of technical problems are there. But they have done it. I saw that part, it was unbelievable. Excellent effort by all the cast onscreen and the technicians behind the screen. The serial maintains the tempo from the start till today and it is going well. It is not that serials are always boring and bad, some serials are really outstanding. Don’t blindly reject the serials. If you have time just relax and watch this serial.
