Reasons not to go for Metronet. Review on Metronet

I was using sify broadband from my local cable operator for past 15 months I never had problem with their service (a few times server slowed down during peak hours). Until recently I took metronet connection based on my cable operator's advise.

Its just been a week I had very bad experience like the speed, you will never get full speed for what you paid. I took 512kbps unlimited plan I hardly get the full download speed (i.e. 60kbps) and all the time you will get half of your bandwidth speed.

I called my cable operator he gave me the customer service number.

I spoke to the Representative, than I started explaining the problem that about fluctuating speed he than checked the stats and told me that you are getting the full speed till an hour back.

I asked "it means i'm not getting the full speed right now can you just tell me why?"

all of a sudden he put my call aside and started talking to his peers, it was so ridiculous.

He than keep pretending that i'm getting full speed. I asked him to remotely log in to my system(using Ammyy). He than checked and confirmed that I am receiving only half bandwidth speed I asked him why?

I was shocked with the answer. He said that one more user might be using the internet I thought I was hacked. He than explained me that the connection 1:3 ratio if the other user logs in the speed will be divided.

It all happened in just 2 days of usage so I honestly suggest you not to go for metronet.

I dont want this to happen to others.

Reasons Not to opt for the service

-The sharing ratio 1:3 the speed will be divided

-Very bad customer service when you call for assistance

-The bandwidth speed always fluctuates you will never get the speed constantly

I will switch back to my old ISP and I dont certify it as Outstanding but it is reliable.
