I know it's a recession and we're all looking to save a buck...but beware the old adage: YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!
This truly is the case with Metro PCS. First of all they are selling you USED, REJECT PHONES!!! Think about it, have u ever seen these phones advertised in other wireless companies?? NO! That's because these are the models that the phone makers find inefficient, bulky, and unworthy.
The company doesn't put them out, instead sell them overseas to third-world countries because they don't stand a chance in the U.S. So don't go thinking your phone is a new, exclusive model because it's not. Your Metro PCS phone was made about 3-7 years ago and sold and tested in other countries and now they're being passed on to you.
Next, yea they tell u only $40 bucks for an unlimited plan, but what they dont tell u is the normal features that usually come with a plan (voicemail, caller ID, call forwarding, 3-way) is EXTRA!!! Also, the quality of reception SUCKS!!! Just try making a phone call if you're 3 miles away from home...guaranteed you'll drop at least 6 times in 5 minutes. And a TEXT?
Ok, send it today, expect your friend to get it tomorrow night!! That's how bad the METRO PCS reception is. And you've already heard from other customers about the bill scams so I'm not going there. All I have to say is, cheaper is not always better!!! Believe me people, you'll save more in the long run if you just go with a company you KNOW!!
Hint: The customer service is bad because the company is self-interested!!! They don't care about saving you money or making you happy. This is an opportunistic time for them. They see the country is in crisis and they want to take advantage of people looking to save money!!!
