"We didn't leave each other, love left us"
India has been recognized globally as a rapidly increasing market with an economy which within the next 30 years will probably be the third largest in the world, after US and China. Apart from the loads of positive effects of this growth, there are scores of negative effects which cannot be neglected overlooked. Today is the day of DINK s(Double Income No Kids), of Call Centers and Night shifts, of Pubs and Discos after a hectic work and of money-can-buy-anything attitude. But somewhere in this rat race to attain "glory", some people are lead astray from the basic reason of joining the race, some start doing just anything to reach the end point to fulfill their own dreams and the main thing that is lost is love and forces the other to go in the lookout for some moments of togetherness.
Metro delineates such a rat race. In one hand there is a couple who buys a house by paying 40k as EMI but fails to "make it a home". A guy does just anything to climb up the professional ladder to fulfill his fathers dream. A married lady gets frustrated of her ”workaholic" husband and develops interest in another person whom she like spending time with, while her husband goes around with his own employee. An old lady finds her love after many years. And a gal who is looking for true love didn’t realize that her love is the same one who keeps colliding with her every now and then.
Overall, a very lively, funny, slightly emotional movie. A good entertainer, If I may rephrase. Irfan khan and konkan sen are laudable. Kay Kay Menon and Shilpa shetty also deserves a pat on their back and not to forget Sharman Joshi and Shiney.
Nice background scores. Very contemporary and more of like indie pop numbers then Bollywood masala songs.
Only thing I didn’t like about the film is the three band members who keep coming to sing the songs. Once is fine but they keep coming every now and then and makes it more of a music video then a film, at some parts.
In My Opinion, worth a watch.
