I have never wriiten any reviews on anything before.. But the kind of horrible experience I have had with MERU recently has forced me to share this with as many people as I can.


My wife is 6 months pregnant and had some complications recently and was advised complete bed rest for 10 days. After taking good rest for 10 days on doc's consultation she decide to resume her duties. Her workplace is at Belapur (Navi Mumbai) and her mother's place is in Kharghar (where is is currently staying) which is next station to Belapur - so hardly 4 - 5 Kms.


However my wife's condition was not such that she could take the crowded Bus, train or the bumpy autorickshaw.. So the only option was a CAB. I wantd the best possible mode of commutation for her so decided on booking Meru daily from Kharghar - Belapur and vice versa.


The 1st day everything seemed ok. Well 2nd day onwards true colours of Meru's service came to the fore. My wife needs to reach her office before 9:45 and it take max 15 mins to reach so we booked taxi at 9:15. My wife called the cust care at 09:00 to tell that she hasnt recd any cab details but she was told not to wory and that the cab will be there before time.


She waited till 9:30 and then had no option but to run around managing for a local cab. Fortunately she reached in nick of time.. but inspite of all this Meru never got back..I fired them and the cust care was apologetic. I thought going forward this will not happen. But then I WAS SO SO WRONG!!!!


For the return booking that my wife made from belapur to kharghar (at 6:00 p.m.) she recd an sms with cab details at 05:45 or so.. It was 06:00 and there was no sight of the cab driver so she called the driver and was told that his car is broken down (which I seriously doubt as all these guys want to avoid short distances) and he hasked my wife to call the contact centre and ask them to send another driver...Now 1stly when should my wife have to do all this.. If his car was broken its him who should have infd his company and organised for the same.. anyway since it was our need we called the cust care who then said that they will send some one else....


NOW HERE IS WHERE IT BECOMES SO BITTER, INHUMAN EXPERIENCE FOR US. It was already late and the 2nd driver was also not to be seen. So with the new cab details my wife recd she called again to check how long it is before she could be picked... When she called the cab driver didnt even say hello.. rather said "HA! AAPKO KHARGHAR JAANA HAI NA...KYU HAMARA TIME KHARAAB KAR RAHE HO.. MUJHE NERUL SE AANA PAD RAHA HAI...TUM CHALKE KYU NAHI JAATE..


BEES RUPAI KE LIYE HUMHE TAKLEEF DETE HO" - (You want to go to Kharghar right.. why you wasting my time.. Because of you I have to travel from Nerul... why don't you just go walking to Kharghar.. For Rs.20 that I get to keep(actual tariif: Rs 68) I have to come all the way there, , , "


Do I need to say anything else... My wife was really annoyed the way he spoke and rightly so.. He has no business to talk to my wife or to anybody else for that matter. If they have any prob they shoudl contact their contact centre and not vent their frustration on customers... Obv I wasn't safe o travel with such a luniac.. so she cancelled the cab to the joy of the cab driver.. The cust care had no regret about what happened when my wife complained.. he just simply kept quite the whole time and just towards the end said thanks for calling... MERU.. With this kind of service you soon will see dooms days!!!


I dont know what you feel aftr reading this.. But I am so worried to know people have become so inhuman these days.. no love for each other.. all they care is to make money and fill their own stomach.. dont know whats the end to all this... God bless...Ps: Narrate this experience to as many people as possible.. may be we can make a difference...
