I booked a Meru Cab one day in advance to go to the airport the next day. At the time of booking I was given a confirmation & told the driver would contact me half hour before departure and given a docket number. On the day of departure I called them to confirm the cab, and they confirmed availability yet again. However, to my great surprise, I received a call from them within 2 minutes of my call saying that the booking had been cancelled because no cab was available. This caused me a great deal of inconvenience in finding an alternate mode of transport at the last moment, plus I had luggage to carry.
This is not the first time Meru has failed to deliver, but the 3rd or 4th consecutive time. I have finally learnt my lesson and found another Cab service provider. But the question remains that why confirm a booking if you cannot provide the service. Simply update the passenger with the true status. Also, how can someone with such poor service run a business. They must simply shut shop. I am sure they will be very soon with this extremely poor level of service.
