Never taking a Meru Cab again! Made the mistake of taking a Meru from Delhi Airport to Vasant Kunj(DL1RY4426; Driver: Vipin Kumar). He took a much longer route although I had told him what route I want to take; he refused to listen when I asked him to take the route I suggested.


On top of that he tried to take a secluded road and was not agreeing to turn around till I threatened to call the cops. I called Meru cabs to give feedback while in the cab itself but all they could offer were the usual platitudes: "we regret the inconvenience caused/ we have registered your complaint and will get back to you in 4 days". 4 days?! While your driver is trying to take a secluded route in a city like Delhi with a girl alone in the cab at 7 PM?


Once we reached the destination and I refused to pay for the extra distance he had taken without my consent, he tried to physically intimidate me and I had to call a cop to help. I called Meru again to speak with their driver, but just got a repeat of "we regret. / we have registered." The agent's supervisor was apparently "busy on the floor" so did not have time to speak to a customer.


I'm disgusted with this dis-service that Meru thinks it can mete out to customers. The utter apathy displayed by them while their driver was misbehaving has me appalled. I urge everyone not to take Meru cabs; I hope no other woman puts herself through this kind of ordeal with Meru.
