Meru cabs booking & customer care is pathetic

Meru Cabs is pathetic on the following points:


1) You never get through a booking on call till minimum of 15-20 mins and sometimes the call gets disconnected .I am not saying it happens always but sometimes it happens at critical points and you feel dejected.The worst part of it is that the IVR which keeps on repeating "Your estimated wait time is: 1 second" after which it goes on for another 3-10 mins. That is really pathetic .The software on which Meru runs is corrupt and manipulated.


2) Lost and Found is a concept floated . Whenever you lose anything, it is lost for ever and they will ask you to investigate with the police.I had one incident with Meru .I came out of my cab after the journey and after I took my luggage out, the driver just vanished out of sight without giving me the bill receipt. To my horror, I found that I have left my mobile in the cab . Then when I called my number, the mobile was switched off .To my bad luck, I had only remember the Cab driver's name and not the cab number/ driver id . After following up with Meru for 10 days, I got disgusted with their approach and callous  behavior


3) The booking is not always good enough, you need to follow up to get the cab


Now for the good points:1) They have been good till now to me by turning up on time every time and being very prompt .  But I have heard from so many of my friends that they have had problems with late night / early morning bookings.I have been lucky so far


2) The driver in most of the time have been polite and honest . They never take you for a joy ride around the city and charge money for that .And also the Logan / Marina is a real treat for the passenger and that too mostly Drivers  dont drive recklessly
