Previously, I had a good image of Meru with the brightly colored vehicles and drivers with uniforms. But when you experience it, then only you come to know the actual. On 16th January, 2010 I booked a Meru Cab to the Bangalore International Airport. The experience I had with Meru-




  1. The driver came late.




  2. When he reached my place, he asked for a tea stall as he wanted to have a cup of tea. He requested for 5 minutes. He came back after 10 minutes. Why does he need to have a cup of tea after reaching the customer’s place?




  3. He was in the driver’s seat when we got our luggage. He didn’t get out of the vehicle to help us with the luggage. Neither had he bothered to open the cab doors until I asked him to do so. Don't you think courtesy is another thing that you need in your service?




  4. The left side back door had a problem and could not be opened. Why was that vehicle sent to pick us up if it had a problem?




  5. He drives rough, didn’t slow down of corners and braked hard. I clearly told him to drive slow and smooth without braking so hard and minding the corners. He kept his silence and after sometime the drive became rough all over again.




  6. From my place to the Airport, he was warned 11 times (Eleven) because he crossed the speed limit of 90 KM (Meru has a software installed din the cabs to warn drivers). Eleven times in the patch of 42 km. Is that a good driving?




  7. The baggage holder cover at the back of the vehicle was open after we got our stuff. Without closing that, without coming out of his vehicle he drove the vehicle to another spot in the parking lot. Is he a psycho? If yes, then why the hell he is driving a Meru cab?






Neither I nor my family members are interested in seating in a car driven by a psycho. So I have decided to stop using Meru from now onward and will find out an alternative like Easy Cab with whom I have good experiences of traveling. I am posting this to Mouth Shut so that everyone can be aware of the trouble Meru can cause to them.

Beware of this driver and the vehicle. Refuse to use it if it is sent to you. You might have had such bad experience. Please share them in the comment section so that we can list out the problematic Meru Vehicles and drivers in case someone still (after reading all these) needs to use Meru.
