Prestige on Wheels. Review on Mercedes S 320L

Salaam malaikum !

I have some time on my hand today between urgent matters of state and I thought I'd grace your esteemed site with another review.I trust you will find it quite useful.I have always had a weakness for the three pointed star.And the maximum number of cars in my garage are Mercedes Benzs.

Unfortunatel in Islamabad,the quality of technicians suitable for servicing these sophisticated automobiles is extremely limited.So often I regularly get the German technicians from Stuttgart(Germany).After all when you are head of a country,such services can be availed off without any hassles.So they come and regularly tune and maintain these thoroughbreds for my pleasure.

I bought a S-320 and S-500 from Mercedes Benz because I have always trusted Mercedes Benz and have mostof my cars bought from Mercedes. I especially love the S-class. The car has perfect control, good speed, good sound system, and it is a very smooth riding car.

If you are interested in small cars, then this car is not for you. That is basically the only disadvantage of this car. When you pop in a tape, or use the six CD changer, the music surrounds you and it doesn't even seem like its a tape or CD but rather that the music is being played around you because of the great and powerful Bose Sound System built into the car.

When driving over a bumpy road, you can hardly feel the bumps and the smoothness of the drive makes you want to relax. The leg room in the car is great and the spacing of the whole car and the nice leather seats make it cozy. Because of a cozy car and smooth riding, it is easier to fall asleep when being a passenger. All Benz's reek of opulence and luxury.

But please dont ask me about the fuel consumption.Its terrible.Due to security concerns,my cars have bulletproof glasses and that makes them all the more heavier.So that in the end affects both pick up as well as fuel economy. I have several chauffeurs and very seldom get the pleasure of driving them my self. But nevertheless the speed demon sometimes gets me and then I have one with tinted glasses and with an ordinary registration number and no one knows that the ''Schumaker'' who just whizzed by is their President. Life does have its lighter moments.

And some of my cars have been fitted with run flat tyres so even if there is a terrorist attack and they shoot out the tyres,in the undeflated mode the tyres can still take me out of harms way.

A few of my Generals recently suggested that I go in for the Maybach. But that iron monster is just too ostentatious for the ''Peoples President''. And I feel that the Maybach is an over ornate flashy car.Whereas the S Class just reeks of luxury without being flashy in the least. It just transports you in sheer sybaritic comfort.

I am not a very technical person (except in the matters of Arms & Ammunitions & explosives and other state intrigues)so my review simply hinges on the material comforts without delving too much in the technical aspects.
