Its time for some wackiness!. Review on Men In Black Movie

''What DVD are u gonna pick up this week? How about 'The Ring'????!!! You will piss in ur pants!'' This saturday was no different...my brother wanted me to watch the horror flick so badly. I told him about this MIB/MIB2 back to back DVD I wanted to rent and he goes like 'MIB? not for me Its all gooooooeeyy'

So what if it is :) and so what if its plot is bunkum ...Its one of the funniest and whackiest movies to come out in the 90s! Ya its all I had heard about it. Read on...

Inspired by a very-less popular comic series, the producers (including Steven spielberg as Executive producer) and directors have come up with a winner! The movie stars Tommy lee jones and Will smith as the Secret government agents responsible for 'Policing' all extra-terrestrial activity on the earth. From the word go both Jones and Smith are funny (Correction HILARIOUS!) You might only miss maybe the gags where they are carrying out a parody on American movies and well known personalities/characters...

Ya, so as I said, what if the movie claims there are thousands of aliens roaming around among us, many in Manhattan (and in hollywood ...lol..they claim Sylvestor stallone is an alien ...he was never good with his dialogue delivery..ya right! :) ) but still I say thats the whole point!! the movie is goofy and whacky, complete with unexpected one liners and funny dialogues by our two guys(My vote goes to jones but Smith is class too!)

Hollywood movies have been very deadly in their portrayal of Aliens and science fiction (Example: Star trek) and also many times full of gore and profanity (Alien series). Come 1997 and this was turned upside down with MIB - aliens portrayed in an 'overtly' humorous style. Check out the main villain and how he gets into the skin of a hapless random farmer :) although some might find this cockroachy character disgusting!! Also, anybody should like an alien residing in a dog..

By the way you want 'goooeeeyyy', you've got enuf alien splattering all over the screen hehehe

I had watched Tommy lee jones in his award winning 'Fugitive' where he is the cold detective, barking out orders and methodical in his never-say-die approach. The difference here is - None :-) thats the fun. The setting only is different but he is so casual and methodical even in the most bizarre circumstances that it looks hilarious. And watch out how he handles civilians every time there is an alien attack or any such incident they should not remember - his Neuralyser ..In his own words, everybody is 'Quite a Gullible breed' in front of him.

Jones plays 'Kay' and 'Dee' his senior partner is no longer in a position to accompany him in his fight against alien creatures. So kay recruits Smith (dont miss the 'recruitment process') in Dee's place. Now they both form the 'Men in black' who dont exist and nobody knows they exist. Every minute that follows has a funny dialogue, or a cheeky chase ....bottom line something funny blowing up in your face for the next 95 minutes

The plot is ...well well the plot as I said earlier is pretty thin..doesnt matter. Go watch it and freak out :) for humorous aliens in all sizes and shapes. Even those of you who are not 'into' alien movies. (My brother who watched both parts back2back without a break can vouch for that last one;) )
