When I started looking out
for buying my next smart
phone, I was basically
looking for - 1. Camera with
more options of manual
settings and slow motion
video capabilities with
relatively large sensor and
crisp image reproduction. 2.
Butter smooth touch
response and great display
- Finger print scanner with
accurate and faster response
And I have decided to go
with either OnePlus2, Honor
7, and Meizu MX5. During
the recent sale, I found that
Meizu MX5 is available at a
tempting price of 18K and
additional 10% cash back on
Standard Chartered Card. So
I have started reading
reviews to compare
OnePlus2( I was having an
invite), Meizu MX5 and
Honor 7 To me the design of
Honor 7 looks similar to
many of other smart phones
and my current smart phone.
Also the finger print scanner
placed on backside of the
phone seems to be not so
comfortable to use. Another
thing is that Processor Kirin
benchmarks were nowhere
near to Snapdragon 810 V2,
and also Helio X10. So the
battle now is between MX5
and OP2. I have checked
several reviews and blogs to
conclude the best choice.
Following are the points that
lead me to choose MX5 over
OP2: 1. Light weight. 2.
Sexy design like iPhone6:)
- AMOLED display which
produces much better
contrast 4. Snapdragon
processor get heated quickly
as compared to MX5 while
running heavy applications.
- Not heavy on my pocket.
So considering all these
points I have finally settled
with MX5. Following are the
points I have noticed after 1
week usage: 1. Battery life is
great. I am not a heavy
gamer. So I get it for 2 days
with WIFI, DATA always ON.
And Battery running in
Performance mode. And on
an average of 3 hours usage
of music every day. 2. When
the battery runs below 10%,
the phone gets little warmer
than normal. 3. Touch
response and display quality
are fabulous. 4. Camera
quality is great, though I
have not fully experimented
with it yet. 5. Finger print
scanner is accurate and
faster that I expected. 6.
Gestures to perform access
different applications when
the screen is locked The
only down point I see with
this phone is - it has only
16GB memory. Rest all is
awesome.
