I have been visiting this restaurant since my childhood, it underwent a major rennovation few years back.
This is one of best restaurants in Ghatkopar serving Punjabi food for last so many years. In terms of facilities it has following to offer:
Bar(Call it a decent)
Vallet Parking(So dont have to worry even if it is located near station)
Fish aquarium(To keep to little ones occupied while you wait for your turn)
Party Hall(Not sure but think need to have minimum 25 people)
Used to play some music(this is pretty inconsistent and again the guy used to play so boring nos that it was best ignored)
Ambeince: Mordern with central air-conditioning and good seating arrangements for a family of upto 4 people, most of the seats may not offer you privacy, again most of the times if their are parties / small get togethers this place gets extremely noisy
Food: Must try their Sizzlers, Hyderebadi Biryani and Meghdhoot special vegetable they are really good. They serve a wide variety of vergetarian dishes you can rely on the staff to help you choose the right dish to suit your tastebuds. Overall I do have a feeling that this restaurant uses excess oil for few vegetables. Also dont forget to ask for roasted papads along with Green Chatni, the green chatni is made of rich herbs(Pudiana) and is prepared quite uniquely.
My fav vegetables are the following:
Paneer Hyderebadi(Little spicy served in red gravy)
Veg Kholapuri(Not that spicy again served in red gravy)
Meghdoot Special(Sweet one, Mixed vegetables with some fruits)
Methi Malaai Mutter(Thankfully they use the actual peas and not the pulses peas - Again this is not spicy, but will find it rich in herbs)
Over the years I am disappointed that they have not experimented with the menu and over a period of time eating same thing again and again gets very boring. I personally feel that they should introduce new items their menu, the food industry is changing rapidly and nowdays people dont like to eat same stuff again especially after pay a huge price.
Service: Pretty quick and friendly
Payment: All major credit cards accepted(Think even accepts American Express)
Home Delivery: Yes, although I think it is free only within Ghatkopar, please call and verifiy
Overall a nice place to take your family and friends but would not recommend this hotel on weekends if you are looking for some privacy.
