If you want to meet the real Fockers, family you'll have to come to Quebec in Canada, where they all live.
Of course the script writer had no idea there was a real family by this name. The producers were facing a law suit, until they were given a vacation in Disneyland.

The Stars
Ben Stiller plays Greg Focker who is a Male Nurse.
Terri Polo, (Greg's fiancee), plays Pam Byrnes.
Robert De Nero plays Jack Byrnes, was once a CIA Agent.
Blyth Dammer plays Dana Byrnes.
Dustin Hoffman plays Bernie Focker, is a Lawyer and enjoys marshal arts.
Barbra Streisand plays Roz Focker who is a Sex Therapist.
My Review
The movie takes place on Focker Island, near Miami, in Florida, USA.The film is about Greg and Pam getting their parents to meet one another.
The Byrnes are prim and proper. He has retired form the CIA, (but still has hidden CIAitems in his house, and uses them.
The Fockers are ''off the wall''! Mrs Focker is a sex therapist, and her lawer, husband has retired.
The baby is Terry's nephew , and her partents are taking care of him. At the time the movie begins, he can't speak, but is learing baby sign languare.
The Byrnes own a cat to can open doors, use the flush button on the toilet and open
doors.
The Fockers own a dog, that loves sex.
Put opposites together and what do you have? A very funny movie.
My Thoughts
The script was well written, and the cinematography showed how beautiful Miami is.
Barbra Streisand, (she hasn't made a movie in 8 years), and Dustin Hoffman were the best actors in this film. Robert Nero and Blyth Dammer were wonderful.
Ben Stiller, Terri Polo played their parts well. The baby, dog and the cat stole every scene that they were in.
Did I really need to see a dog being so sexual? The baby, who only knows one word, and it's a swear word, repeated it too many times, I wanted to tell him it was time for a time out!
The Best Bits
There are of course, puns, about the family name.
Roz Focker teaching some older people how to relate to one another.
Jack Byrnes, in the huge van, where he has a secret place, that he keeps up with CIA things.

My Conclusion
If you enjoy comedy you'll love this film. They say laughter is good for your health.
It's one of the best comedy I've seen, I recommend it to you.
