After the failure of Tehzeeb and average Lakeer,expectations for ARR's Meenaxi was very low since meenaxi aint commercial movie and is directed by infamous M F Hussain whose first directorial Gajagamini was a disaster.
MEENAXI- A TALE OF 3 CITIES is marketed by sony music!!!
let's see whether the songs impress or not.
1)YEH RISTA

ARR has introduced yet another new singer reena bhardwaj a good discovery.
ARR has been using ''beep loops'' too often these days(dating from boys,sabaq aisa from tehzeeb,saadiyan from lakeer) and now this song.
The song starts with beep sound or loops then reena starts to sing when she sings yeh rishta kya kehlata hai the typical dholak beats appear and u wonder this song would continue with these dholkas only but ARR gives us a surprise at 1.18 koi annjane se cheez meri,he stops dholaks and guitar string appear its a treat to listen and then at 1.34 he again changes it meri dil ke kareb with full of bass effect.and again after this line he introduces dholaks.
The antra part of the song completely changes to classical tune iss gumsum pani mein..
good one. The song is a masterpiece I luved this song on first hearing itself..reena has sung very well and with combination of great tune this song deserves to be a big big hit..

2)CHINNAMMA CHILAKKAMA

MEENAXI is a tale of three cities-Hyderabad, Prague, Jaisalmer..
This song starts with typical village flute tune..then chorus sing chinnamma chilkkamma chudu chudu chinamma chilkkamma adu adu in telugu... with heavy beats.
Then sukvinder starts of teethali .... main ne good tune nice beats when chorus sing chinnamma sukvinder respongs with dadadadaa thats sound very cool the antra of the song is also good.the song will surely become a big big hit..
it took me 3-4 hearing to get used to this song...

This film was initally supposed to be called DO KADAM AUR SAHI.
sonu nigam is the best singer today....
simple tune ,nice flute and strings
watch out for the tune doop daariyaaoo mein hai,phir safar phaavon mein hai,
dil ka awaara ...diya,doosery ...main hai the tune is simply out of the world....
there is no antra the same tune repeats again...
fantastic song though will not will be a charbuster but really a superb song

Well really different tune I havent heard this type of song before very interesting song
it took me almost 5-6 hearing.but this song is claimed to be a chartbuster by all.
asha bhosle is excellent as usual.different beats it really surprised.
The songs starts with kunal murmuring some rubbish I still cant figure out whats that if u come to know tell me but whatever he sings is really very sweet.
The antra part of the song is very mediocore thats wat I think but again it is my personal opinion though everyone gives this song 9.5 to 10 I don't feel this song deserves much rating it seems M F hussain has said in a interview dhuan dhuan is one of the best songs he has ever heard..but yes truly very different and good experiment by ARR.

This song is nothing but remix of rang de thakshak,bit of khamosiyan 12ka4 and maya machinda indian.
aye re ayre re is nothing but maya machinda song.
Rang aaj raang naach hai is nothing but kamosiyan goongananee lagee...

plz do tell me if u feel the same
the song has shades of muslim tune...
Nice job by alka yagnik,the song might be a big hit if the dance by tabu is good...
antra part of the song is very interesting it reminds me of another ARR song but cant get it help me....but the song is instantly likeable!!!

the strarting of the song remind me of bombay dreams wedding qawaali...
it will take atleast 5 hearings...nice tune can be termed ARR's best qawaali...
this is the longest song in album..

different attempt and ARR should continue to give something like this its really very different from normal songs and very likeable..i enjoyed it.

it has instruments that potter use and the tune is like arabic tune I feel its like arabian nights tune nice one really hapy to hear these kinda stuff from ARR..

On the whole a masterpiece from ARR.
though it cannot be termed as his best but after listening to his recent album I feel this is heaven...but sometimes I feel all the songs end very soon 8 songs only 40 minutes...
we should thank ARR for giving a good score and not dissapointing this time.
