I have been associated with Medi assist insurance for over 15 years and I have never raised a single claim. Once I raise a claim that too a small amount, I came to know the real face of the insurance company.
First of all, they are understaffed. I have submitted all my bills, discharge summary and bills with company seal. Despite that, in each email they were asking the same information again and again and started irritating. I started thinking if the person at the other end has any basic knowledge on insurance and claims, At one point of time they said the hospital discharge summary is not in the format they expect and they started giving a sample format to get the discharge summary. The discharge summary was in hospital letterhead with doctor signature. They simply don't want to reimburse or approve any claim once their target is reached. I strongly suggest to go for any other insurance company apart from Meddi assist or ICICI Prudential
