I had gone to visit the health and wellness department(dental) yesterday with a prior appointment with Dr. Vandana. Once I reached I came to know that she was gone for her lunch break at 3:30 pm and I will have to wait. Why are appointments given if the doctor is not available to see patients at that time? My back right teeth were hurting and some skin is coming in between the teeth which bleeds while brushing and is otherwise painful to chew.
After specifically telling her about my medical history and how my wisdom tooth has not been extracted I was told to get an x-ray done before further recomendation. The x-ray was from the front and does not show my right side of the teeth and if there is any tooth which has not emerged. She recommended I eat augmentin(which is a antibiotic) and somer medicine for the pain and if that does not help she will remove the last tooth. How does removing a healthy tooth solve the problem of some skin coming between my back teeth? And how will that solve my wisdom tooth from coming out right? She has not even seen an x-ray from the side to check if the problem can be resolved without removing someone healthy tooth.
An ENT doctor had recommended I visit a dentist and they can remove the skin coming from the back teeth but she had no time to listen or even explain what she prescribed to me.
When I asked what if the medicine doesnt help she told me she will remove the teeth!
I forgot to mention that she had changed her room in between telling me to get my xray done while in room 31 to room 19 and was having tea with a colleague while I stood there the whole time and left with a prescription! Can anyone imagine going to a doctor with your xray and standing while she is chatting and writing a prescription and gives it to you with a dismissal to leave.
