How a life can be saved. Review on Medanta Mediclinic Cybercity - DLF Phase II - Gurgaon

My father went through a live saving treatment in Medanta a week back. He was diagnosed of Dieulafoy lesion, a rare illness of which there is no documented treatment but only immediate first aid. We are natives of the hills and it takes a person six hours to reach Delhi. The only person to be given credits of having my father all hail and hearty today is Dr. Rajesh Puri. Having been treated by him before as well, Dr. Puri left no stone unturned to have my dad being brought to Medanta as early as possible. The most relevant fact is that he did not wait for the patient to arrive to the hospital as he knew it would be too late by then, Dr. Puri made sure from miles away that the patient is been given the right amount of first aid during the journey by constantly directing the attendant, attending my dad. This as a matter of fact, became the most important factor of life saving treatment of my dad. My recommendation is, that one should always call the doctor/ hospital before hand(even if one’s place is half an hour away from the hospital) to start with the process of first aid as soon as possible, as in my dad’s case we realized that the telephonic vigilance by the doctor throughout the way saved his life. After the patient's arrival Dr. Rajesh Puri only focused on how he would start the treatment, his priority became the life of my father and not his position, as a doctor. We witnessed him rushing to the blood bank himself and bringing bottles of blood as he didn’t want to waste a single minute of the patient’s life. That was the dedication this doctor possessed. Whatever I am expressing is nothing compared to what Dr. Puri has done for my dad and our family. Not any amount of thank you would be enough to him and his service. Further I would not hesitate to thank deeply Dr. Naresh Trehan, Dr. Sunil Mishra, Dr. Sheilly Kapoor and Dr. Rajneesh Kapoor for their constant support and the manner they treated my father.

I would like to thank the administration of the hospital. They were always prompt and vigilant in their approach. The nursing staff took immense care of my father. Even when he was being treated in the ICU for two days, the staff was always by his side as a family. That dedication and diligence helped my dad recover sooner and also helped us stay stress free during his recovery. The mess incharge Mr. Ravindra Chauhan and his team not only took proper care of the patient's meal but also catered nicely to the attendant’s diet.

All in all Medanta, Medicity gave us a homely environment and helped us take back healthy memories. Thank you Medanta for everything.
