I used to enjoy especially the double burgers and that was the first thing I had after a day long hike in the grand canyon. Tastes good, cheap and filling. Top it with a soda (coke) and burp.Perhaps in a way ignorance is bliss. You get to enjoy but then with knowledge comes inquisitiveness.I have always wondered how things were so huge in the US from Onions to Oranges and used to scoff at the bloody Indian stuff at the local cooperative.A viewing of Food Inc is all that took to open the eyes. Ever wonder how they manage the same taste coast to coast and country to country?Don't you recollect that the sambhar made by your mom and your friend's never ever tasted the same.So something is wrong here in the picture and it definitely is.Everything is produced factory style, from the meat to the veggies. Loaded with antibiotics and GMO (Genetically Modified) .
The meat is produced in CAFO's (Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations) where they have hardly space to move.Its a vicious cycle and there is a long term effect to our health and environment. Know your options and make the right choice.In SuperSize me, it is clearly shown how a one month diet can affect a perfectly healthy person. And most of us are the average Joe's or average Ram/Rahim. So don't count your luck with it.I have gone organic and support farmer's markets. Its expensive but its safer and healthier for the environment. But in country where a burger is cheaper than buying veggies or soda is cheaper than water what can you expect for the average family.
We in India have a choice and lets not cave in. And this is not for McD alone but most of the fast food chains.
