May be little better. Review on Maybelline Lip Makeup

As everyone needs to experiment, try different looks on different occasions. I was looking out for the perfect outfit and some make-up to welcome the New Year.

I was back home from shopping and was just relaxing a friend of mine dropped in after a year and she brought some Maybelline’s lip polishes. She had 9 to 10 shiny colors with her well I don’t remember all the names but few of them were Bronze Goddess, Purple Flash and Pinch of Pink etc. May be she wanted to gift all her friends something different for New Year. She asked me to select one. When I saw it I was impressed with its attractive packing it was in a clear tube decorated with gold stars.

As soon as I pulled it out from the tube a very thick cream was on the sponge. It looked like melted fudge. I tried it on my hand and it was very thick she convinced me that it would set in few minutes and would look great on lips. Well I didn’t wanted to break her heart by making faces and saying no to her. I thought ok I should go for it, and I took Purple Flash one, which would go with my outfit.

I didn’t even take a trial of the lipstick on my lips that evening. Next day after my work I went home and was preparing for 31st evening finally everything was set. I started doing my make-up, after all the make-up was done I was ready to apply my new lip polish oh how happy I was, thought I would look so different.

I was hoping for a light, smooth and shiny lip polish but as soon as I applied my lips felt so heavy and sticky as if I have applied a thick layer of fudge on my lips. I tried to use a tissue to remove some of the thickness from my lips but it was so sticky that the tissue was stuck on my lips. It was so messy and the polish was spread out of my lips as if I have no knowledge how to apply the lip polish.

When my fiancé saw me he kept on laughing, he was like hey soniya it looks as if you are going to perform for some Circus show; I took off the lipstick in no time it was such a mess. It leaves stains on the lips and its difficult to remove even with the make-up remover. My entire make was spoilt and again I had to waste my time reapplying it. I was so upset plus getting late. We reached at the party around 11-55pm. It was so embarrassing that the hosts are reaching so late.

I can’t tell you about the long wear ability of this product because I immediately scrubbed it off my lips. Well if you plan out to eat, drink or a kiss this lip polish is really not for you. You would end up leaving marks on everything you touch with your lips.

Well some won’t agree with me but this is my personal and honest experience. Well I was dissatisfied with this product maybe someone would have been satisfied with it.

Oh if my friend would come to know I was in such a mess with her given gift she would feel so bad its better I keep my MouthShut.
