I love makeup and I am always looking for the best and cheapest products. I have tried Covergirl's Cheekers blush but they smell like Noxema. I like Wet -n- Wilds blushes but wherever I go they always are sold out of my color. So I came across Maybelline Blush Brush.
The blush comes in a small blue compact along with a little blush brush and the compact has a ''window'' to see the shade. At most stores Walmart, Kmart etc.. it retails for around $5.00 for .22 oz of product.
I choose the color Pink Whisper ( a true light colored cool pink) as it most matched my Wet-n-wild color Pearlescent Pink, which was my favorite.
Maybelline Blush Brush is unscented and goes on smooth and silky and since the powder is finely milled you don't get alot of ''fall out'' all over your cheeks. I also think the color is fairly highly pigmented so you don't need alot. The color also lasted me all day with no fading.
I actually like the look of this blush better than my Wet n Wild, however I noticed that my cheeks were very, very, very shimmery. This blush actually looked matte to me in the package, but its far from matte on the face.
I didn't really mind the look to much, It didn't look bad- you don't look like your covered in glitter but the shimmer is noticable. I was very surprised at the amount of shimmer that is actually in this product.
I have oily skin so I prefer to have a matte foundation and blush, however I do like this blush and will continue to use it and probably repurchase. I just think Maybelline should label their blushes ''shimmer'' so your prepared.
