In mid 2006, I met a very good agent from Max Newyork accidentally and after the first 2 or 3 meetings, I got convinced and took an Unit linked policy and for the next 3 years,
I never had any major issue and it was smooth. As the payment mode is monthly, even the units got averaged during the market swings in the last couple of years. Meanwhile I have moved to chennai from Hyderabad and transferred ECS to new bank account.
In the mid 2009, I met another agent from Max Newyork in Chennai and as I was looking for a short term (around 10 years) plan at that time, he came up with a 11 year plan and Investment amount was also inline with my expectations, and last but not the least, the experience in the last 3 years was good, I decided to took the policy. Premium payment was semi annual. I paid my first premium in Sep 2009, as the next premium was due in March 2010, I paid it in their office with cheque and gave the credit card instruction for my subsequent
premium deductions. I clearly mentioned not to charge the credit card in March 2009 as I already have paid with cheque. But to my surprise, they have charged my credit card on the due date and after a long struggle ( 2 months), I got my money back. That was not the end of it, this September, they have charged my credit card 2 times in the single week, and again the struggle is started. I cancelled my credit card now to avoid any future surprise by these guys. Don't know what will happen now and how long it will take to get my money
