I went to see this movie with big time expectations. I had been waiting for this for quite some time. So I saw this first thing today(Saturday) morning, which, for me, is kind of first day first show.

To be honest, I have to state very categorically that it is BIG TIME DISAPPOINTMENT. I didn't want to tell the conclusion in the very beginning but really don’t want to take any chances with people's money i.e. if somebody, without reading the full review, goes for it then it is going to be a national wastage. Believe me, these thoughts came to my mind even while watching the movie. How come a bad work of one person is going to waste this much amount of time and money.

Starting with some good news. Movie starts very promisingly. Shahid kapoor lives in a village and is a son of a professor. He has a sister, who gets engaged(later married) with an NRI, in Gurudwara, without him(the groom) being physically present there; which is very common in Punjab. Sonam kapoor comes to her relative's place for shelter due to ongoing problem in Kashmir. Here they fall in love. Movie moves with good pace and is filled with good amount of laughter and energy. And then, that is it. This is the whole story and it gets completed with in first 45 minutes.

Here onwards, movie doesn’t move even an inch. Believe me, for it is cent-percent true. Somehow, they move it to the intermission, where Sonan goes out of town, Mumbai and Shahid kapoor gets an offer letter from Indian Air Force. So I thought, these sluggish movements have deliberately been put in by Pankaj kapoor as he would be having a lot to cover in the second half.

To everybody’s horror, second half is totally non-moving. It opens up with Shahid and Sonan in Scottland, he in Airforce exchange program and she, even after getting every thing abandond in Kashmir, still comes to Scotland with her family and they open up Kashmiri emporium here. Don’t know how?

The things happen then can’t be narrated and even Mr. Pankaj kapoor would not know what he wanted to show. To summarize the same in bullet points,

· Sonam kapoor sees Shahid kapoor. She hides

· Shahid kapoor sees Sonam and follows her, but couldn’t locate her.

· They both meet but no body talks. The conversation comes from the background.

· She invites him home to ask for her hand.

· Kargil war breaks up, on his way to her house and he leaves the country for good because of his patriotism.

· He comes to India and waits for some role to play in kargil war, in which the Airforce intervention was bare minimum.

· Finally he has been asked to go to Adampur and destroy some of the bunkers.

· He destroys bunker, there is nobody watching or attacking him, still his plane catches fire.

I think, I am done. Cant go from hereonwards, as by now, I was very much frustrated and all my

strength had been exhausted.

Vikramjit Sharma leaves the cinema hall….*

Final Words: I respect Pankaj kapoor very much and had very high hopes from him. Long back, during my childhood, I saw hisMohanlal, BA LLb serial once and I found that very attractive. Actually to be honest, I loved that most because I heard few beautiful lines from him which I used so many times in my life to impress others. These lines were “Mujehy koi bhi aisa nasha pasand nahi, jo samay k saath utar jaye.” I simply loved those lines and to my surprise, I heard them being used by Shahid in this movie as well.

This movie looks like as if some body is trying to launch or re-lauch Shahid kapoor. No doubt, he looks great, but then, handsome is what handsome does. And he, like is father and mother(Supria Pathakkapoor- who just weeps and weeps in the movie), doesn’t do anything in this movie.
