Expect Nothing Less !!. Review on Matrix Revolutions Movie

The fever started last week when I heard on the radio that the 3rd part of the famed Matrix Trilogy was about to be released. I thought, well, It must be still 2 months for its release here. I was pleasantly delighted to know that I will not have to endure the long wait !! It was a global release and the film would be screened simultaneously across the continents !! WOW !! It was decided then & there that this is a must-see !!

But getting the tickets was not another story !! Some idiots at Imax and Fame had done block bookings for the entire show !! And that left us high and dry as I was banking on Imax for the tickets, Grrrrr !! Thanks for Nothing Fame & Imax !!

In the forthcoming elections, I'll vote for the party that passes a law that makes block bookings in theaters and stadiums illegal !!

But where there a will, I wanna be in it and where there is a movie like the Matrix, I wanna see it !! After adding hefty amounts to the bottomlines of Orange & MTNL, and a quick dash by my pal on his mobike, we got the tickets for the screening at 24Karat !! Yippee !! The 3 days were full of eager anticipation for the D-day [or the M-day]

Matrix Revolutions starts where Matrix Reloaded ends.....yep, with Neo in the hospital, but thats all the story that you are gonna get from me. Coz I am not giving anything more away. The movie started, not with a bang as Reloaded, but very subtly (maybe coz the opening scene was in a hospital..hee hee hee) What happens next, go and see it for yourself. You will not be disappointed :-)

Watchout for the amazing underground cavern sets that were almost not mentioned in any of the Matrix Reloaded revus that I read. They are mindblowing. I just loved all the underground action immensely !! Couldn't Blink !!

Be it the way Morpheus & his crush manouver the ship thru the maze, or the sequence when Trinity, Morpheus and Oracle's protector take on the Frenchman's Henchmen [Wow !! What sentence construction...pat pat !! ;-) ]

hell hath no fury than a woman scorned !! is a well known adage. But when a man gets scorned, has anyone thot of what happens then ?? You have to see Neo take on Smith to believe it. The action is nothing but E-X-P-L-O-S-I-V-E !!

[The half mark is deducted bcoz I kind of expected that it would be like this. Also, I think that the machinery with which the soldiers of Zion fight the sentinels could have been made more sleek and better; IMHO. My pals think it was just right to depict Zion aptly, and I was kinda convinced by that]

All the actors deliver whats expected out of them. No one falters !! Full marks to them and to the director for getting consistent performance from them in all the 3 movies. PS: Monica endowed Belucci is a luscious delight ;-)

As the Matrix Movies are just chunks of a huge book, it would be very much unfair to compare them with each other.

This one is a must see for die-hard Matrix fans !! Others can see it for the stupendous stunts that are the hallmark of any of Matrix movie. Expect Nothing Less......coz the Matrix will deliver !!

Everything that has a beginning has an end...

It made me sad as the movie ended as I thought that I'll not see another marvel like the Matrix again !! [Ofcourse there was the LOTR - III to look forward to, but then this is The Matrix right !! :-) ]

But again, this movie has redefined the standards for a Sci-Fi movie !! Directors will have to tread this ground very warily as the audience will not accept anything mediocre after seeing the Matrix trilogy !! Thanks to the Wachowski brothers for ending it gracefully and not making a T-3isque mistake !!

PS : Special thanks to Warner for releasing the film globally. It is very irritating to read revus on flicks [Kill Bill for instance] from people in foreign countries who get to see the movies earlier than in India. Its even more irritating to find some idiotic writer reveal a crucial bit of the plot as if no one else will see the movie.

Thanks a Ton for sparing us Indians from this misery !! You put a big smile on our faces !! :-)) Please make it a habit...
