What is the matrix. Review on Matrix Revolutions Movie

Have a slightly different perspective about the Matrix Trilogy interpretations which is very much a take off on the real life.

MATRIX I

Matrix I deals with reality and unreality .. as to how much do you think whatever happens in our life is real and absolute and how much our personal realities mould us as the people we are or occur to others. For example: lets consider a girl born into a community that doesnt allow women to go out and work. How much does that existing reality mould her life and determine whats possible for her in life. Its more of less like this : consider you were born with a green colored shades on your eyes and never took it of throughout your life .. would it mean that the world is green.. .. it would for you yet different for others.. thats how our personal reality would shape up .. if we were to live inside the matrix.. how would you know whats real. This reality exists because time an again everyone of us had enough proof or evidence that this is the way life is and thats the way people around you are.. and they can't be anything else for you... but that. Consider that over a period of time you have developed this kind of an impression about almost everyone in your life ... and yet everyone occurs differently for every other person..

But Matrix I also shows that this reality can be altered when you can accept and acknowledge things the way they are. It also deals with how a normal guy starts of believing in himself and finds himself transformed in to ''THE ONE'' when people around believe in him and start relating to him as someone who can make a difference in thier lives. Dont you think if people around you related to you as the one who could make a difference in the world .. what kind of life could it be... wouldnt you take on the world.It also deals with creating a world where anything is possible when you can go beyond the barriers of the thought and reality as said in Last dialogue in the MATRIX I. Much of the same thing happens during hypnotism .. as per my knowledge the hypnotist breaks the barriers of thought and creates a temporary condition for the person where the person sees and believes nothing but what the hypnotist says ... so what if your view of life as it seems now was a hypnotic trance brought about by certain occurences,events and certain smart inferences you thought up to deal with your problems in life ... How contorted is your reality ... is it real or just a personal interpretation of how life and people occur to you ... and in the end leaves you with a question .. How can you really define reality?

THE PERVASIVE ENTERTAINMENT STRATEGY

Matrix reloaded and Matrix Revolutions are not 2 parts but 1 movie split into 2 parts as a part of their pervasive entertainment strategy. Some parts and characters in Matrix reloaded appear abruptly with no reference to it from the first part. Here ''ANIMATRIX'' which is a 2 DVD animation short films about the matrix comes into play. ''ANIMATRIX'' holds the key and secrets of how the matrix came into existence and it beautifully depicts how the Machines came into existence , how the war started and how the humans were forced underground with a series of short animation films created using various animation styles. These stories are the link between the first and the second part. Now as a part of the pervasive entertainment strategy the person who doesnt see much sense would obviously buy the Aniamtrix DVD to get a better prespective .. and then after that when you see reloaded you have a totally different experience of the Movie.

MATRIX II (reloaded)

Matrix II deals with ''choice'' and ''control'' ..Where choice is as a concept is distinguished. Matrix II deals with choice as a course of action taken by free will after considering the consequences or circumstance as indicated when ''NEO '' chooses to save Trinity even though that he had a choice to save ''zion'' instead. This is different from a ''decision'' which is a made based on reasons like pressures of the situation,concepts of whats right wrong or what people will think etc . Only that we as humans have always made decisions .. we decide whats to be done based on those circumstances or reasons... but after we decide we never choose that decision as a choice we made.. as result we are never satisfied and left with a feeling that we have compromised somewhere. What Matrix II also shatters the myth of ''control '' as portrayed by the concept of ''THE ONE'' .. it shows that no one that control any circumstance and that ''control'' is just a myth.

MATRIX III (Revolutions)

Matrix III deals with dealing with the results of the choice powerfully and standing by what you chose and what you believe. It strongly emphasizes on ''Belief'' and how your belief and the belief and support provided by you close ones can envision you to take on the impossible. what if you had a Morpheus, a Trinity, a Niobe who could stand by you and whom you could count on .... what couldnt be possibile out of such an unflinching support.

But the Mantra used in the rolling credits gives the fitting finale to the movie and helped me interpret it a different level.

The Mantra is

Asatoma Satgamaya(means take me from Unreal to the real) this is very clear in Matrix part I

Tamasoma Jyothirgamaya ( means take me from darkness to light)

Mrithyoma Amrithamgamaya(take me from death to immortality)

Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions deal with these 2 Mantras as above( those who saw it will clearly know how)

All these aspects have been beautifully blended and have been brilliantly depicted as a part of the Trilogy. and in the end THE ONEis immortalised in the hearts of the people he fought for.

The movie can also be interpreted as an out right SCI-FI action movie .. but I presume the movie plot is built on these concepts as the base with a story and usage of these modern and futuristic world brings out the story brilliantly

ANIMATRIX

Also guys I recommend checking out ''ANIMATRIX'' which most of the people are unaware of. ''ANIMATRIX'' is a 2 DVD animated stories of the other events in and around matrix .. it shows how the machine and humans started the war and what caused it and how they destroyed the earths atmosphere etc .. plus a lot of stories .. There is also a story about the young rookie in ''MATRIX II'' who kept running around NEO thanking him for saving his life. ''ANIMATRIX'' shows how NEO saved him .. if not of all that ..check out ''ANIMATRIX'' for the amazing 2D animation and effects .. its awesome.
