Matheran is an hill station which is very close by to Bombay. You can take in a train on the central line going towards karjat or khapolie and get down at neral railway station from there on either you can trek down till up or take in a cab which charges you Rs.50/- or can also go in by the small train which goes up.
Once you into matheran there are no vehicles allowed so you ar on your foot or on horses its a good place for people who love to horse ride.
The place has got some amazing points as the khandala point. Honeymoon point, monkey point, landscape point, louis point, etc.
The best ones among these are the khandala point and the Louis point. At these tow points specifically if you are lucky you can be covered all by the clouds and feel like being in heaven
The best time to be in matheran is around the beginning of the monsoon or in monsoon.
While coming back I would suggest all those people who love to trek to trek down the hill there are some risk curves n turns but the fun it gives is amazing.
