These guys are magicians in repairing cameras. I have a pretty expensive piece of Konica Minolta glass(70-200/2.8 G SSM), the lens produced by the company which is now long gone from the photo business and which served as the foundation for Sony photo business. Sony produces the same lens, but when my lens failed on me they refused to service it, claiming the lack of spare parts. I`ve tried to send it to KEH, Precision Camera, contacted a few other repair companies across the US and all to no avail. Then I found a reference to some other company on DPreview forums, contacted them and they told me that they can try, but I`d better talk to Photo Tech first because they are the experts. And indeed they are. A couple of weeks later I have my lens, perfectly in shape, no problem with "spare parts" and I`m happy as ever. I really missed this piece, even bought a cheaper Sony alternative(70-200/4 FE) and happily sold it a few days ago. The price for the service was totally OK, I`ve paid about$400 total including shipping both ways. They ship with FedEx ground(not sure if insured, I guess not) and it takes a while. I`m totally happy with their comms, they were quick and honest at initial handshake and very responsive after I`ve sent them the lens. Good service center.
