Movie Masti & Magic!!

Nope, it is neither a review on Zee Cinema nor it is a promo of the same. Guess some people who might get confused with that, those who know about it.

Anyways, Masti is one the much hyped & awaited movie in recent time and looking at the huge queues round the multiplexes and theatres? I must say that it has been promoted nicely.

Most of the people may go to watch this movie, because this is Vivek's first film after the breakdown(Not Nervous or breakdown with Ash, but actual accident he had in recent time, I mean that) and off course after quite a long time.

Coming back to the actual review, its been promoted as Sexual Comedy movie, to some extent yes it is, but on the contrary I would like to say that by adding few double meaning dialogues, definitely a movie can?t be termed as COMEDY and off course not a SEXUAL COMEDY. Yes, some dialogues do make people laugh, but moreover that is becoming the taste of the people who watch it. On the other hand it is the innovative thing that Producer/Directors are putting it in movies to give new flare and taste to audience.

Story line of the movie is somewhat mixed up, at any time no one get a clue what?s happening, but I must admit that, even you don?t get time to think about this.

Vivek Oberoi is good before and after marriage. I guess he?s becoming seasoned actor with different characters he has played so far. Aftab's role is nice. For the first time, he has given justice to the actor within himself. I think he is more suited to this kind of lighthearted comic movies. As far Ritesh goes, nothing bad in his character, but he hardly speaks during movie length, may be the role itself doesn't provide enough room for it.

Female characters are pretty okay being most of them new to the Bollywood. Let us give them some movies/time to before evaluating them. I will not make mistake to compare them with Lara Dutta, even though she is also new to the industry.

Lara Dutta's character is short and bearable. She looks fantastic in movie. Her role in Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dostis quite good compared to this one considering the glamarous background she had. But then there's UP's and Down.

Songs, are quite media core, doesn?t leave any impression whatsoever on the audience. I guess this is the first the time happening in Indra Kumar's movie considering his past project's i.e.Dil, Beta

Not to forgot, Inspector Sikandar, very own Ajay Devgan. This guy is really catching up the popularity chart and managing to pull the show on his own. He is really caching on the roles he has played in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Company and proved enough that he can also played varied role with equally good performances in recent movies.

Overall, a good light hearted comedy, with few double meaning dialogues. Reuse of Kantaben philosophy from KHNH that, catch hold of comic character within you. Can be seen with family, even though it has got few adult dialogues, but then everyone is more or less used to such dialogues in real life as well.

Above all its a movie, and mostly, illusionary and imaginary things can happen in movies only, so worth spending few BUCKS!!!

P.S: I would also like to try Vivek's ''Pooja's Brother concept sometime in real world.''...........Definitely will let you know the outcome............Till then...Movies Masti & Magic....................
