I saw this movie expecting it to be a real disappointment. But it turned out to be quite ok. The comedy is good. The acting is ok and the humor is intact. Dont go to the movie looking for some excellent direction or great comic timing or some great acting or some fantastic movie. But if you have been down in the dumps in life and could use some laughs then this movie is for you. Because there are some scenes in this movie despite being stupid are really funny.

It was marketed as an outright laugh riot sex comedy. Well they were right about the sex comedy but its not exactly a laugh riot. It has too many of the double entendres especially in the first half so I wouldnt recommend this movie to be watched with family. Typical Indra Kumar stuff, but I must say he is not one of the directors that I really admire or anything.

The direction is slack and the narrative loses its grip in places. But the concept itself of infidelity and roving eye of the henpecked husband are used to full extent for comedy. Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani are ok. Considering its Vivek's first comic role he has done quite ok. They look jaded in some scenes. But the surprise package was Ritesh Deshmukh (I think thats what his name is). As the chicken (phattu) among the three he carried his role with aplomb I felt.

One of the scenes not to be missed and that had me rolling was when he kisses the guy, who's undergoing sex-change operations. His reaction when he realizes he was kissing a cross-dresser was really hilarious and according to me one of the best scenes in the movie. the girls are ok acting wise although a bit irritating at times. Especially the voice of Tara Sharma. I am not sure if thats her actual voice or if the role demanded such a voice. amrita came along nicely as the chipkoo wife. Archana Puran Singh was good as the WWF obsessed MIL.

Satish Shah as the philandering sex-specialist was more of an extension of the Kanta Bai of Kal Ho Na Ho. Lara Dutta and Ajay Devgan didnt exactly have much contribution towards the movie. I am surprised that Ajay Devgan with his talent and repertoire is accepting such stale roles. I for one found his bubble gum chewing role of Inspector Sikander irritating.

Yashpal Sharma would have probably done this role much better (the guy who acted in Lagaan and who was the inspector in Chameli). Regarding the music, well, I hardly noticed it. goes with the movie, but will not create any records........ Only one technical flaw in the movie. When the three go to Band stand to meet Lara, they go in an auto rickshaw and Ritesh calls out ''there's Monica's car''. But that was Vivek's car! Otherwise a real fun movie, entertaining and worth watching with friends and with the ghar ki dal !!!!!!
