Mashobra is a pretty little charming hill station surrounded by towering pine and cedar trees. With its amazing views and serenity all over, the lovely hill spot is an ideal gift of nature. Numerous scenic trekking and hiking trails will surely keep you going throughout the day so nature lovers here you go

Situated on Shimla-Naldehra road, Mashobra is situated at a distance of only 10 kilometres away from Shimla. Not only it makes a perfect getaway to the hills but it also entices you with its breathtaking beauty and you will come back craving for even more.

The quaint little town dates back to the 18th century when it was built by Lord Dalhousie. Although it makes a well known tourist spot, it is still unknown and unexplored by many -- so travel to Mashobra and admires its picturesque beauty. If you wish to drive down to Mashobra, then it is possible to do so. Mashobra is only 15 kilometers away from Shimla and a taxi or a bus can conveniently get you there. The taxi will charge somewhere around Rs. 450 whereas the bus ticket will only cost you Rs 20.

Buses leave daily for Mashobra from Shimla’s Lakkar Bazar. You can even drive down to Mashobra from New Delhi- 355 kms and Chandigarh- 130 kms. Be sure to have a proper map to give you the directions. Time your visit to Mashobra when the weather is at its best and that is during the months of March to June, making this period the best time to visit this lovely place. In July the rains come down heavy and it continues through August, so it may be best to avoid this time as the weather is wet and very damp.

The winter starts to set in early December, and temperatures drop. The days are pleasantly cool but night temperatures fall into single digits. January and February are also still cold with freezing temperatures, so unless you are planning on sitting before a fire and warming yourself, it may be best to avoid this time.
