Keeping The Time Wise!. Review on Mary Kay Time Wise Cleansing Bar Soap

Those of us who wear war paint (make up) need to have a way to clean it off of our lovely faces. Even if you don’t wear the stuff you need to keep your face clean. I am a firm believer in keeping my face clean. And I truly enjoy using products that I know I can trust to make my skin clean, soft and smooth. I don’t care for a product that will leave my face feeling dirty. And I also like using a product that I know I can trust.

This product is not just great for removing my war paint but it is also great for removing the dirt and grime from working outside or working up a sweat while cleaning the house. Certainly I love for my face to feel and look clean. And certainly I enjoy fighting that aging thing.

The Product

One of the ways that I have found to clean my face is a new product by Mary Kay® called Mary Kay® Time Wise™ 3-1 Cleansing Bar™. This cleansing bar is perfect for women and men in helping to prevent the anti-aging process of our everyday life.

It gently cleanses, exfoliates and leaves a nice fresh feeling behind. It also helps the process of reducing the visible signs of aging. It feels really great on my face. There is no soap residue left behind either.

The bar that I use is best for normal, combination and oily skin. It is also safe for sensitive skin. It has been clinically tested for skin irritancy and allergy. Also, it is oil and fragrance free. Non-comedogenic and dermatologist tested.

Design and Directions

The design of the bar is about 2 ½ inches in length and it is curved to fit in your hand. The bar is white and it is 5oz net wt. There is also a soap dish that comes with it, which allows you to store your soap, which allows the soap to not dry out or get wet in the shower. This dish is clear in color. The bar is also about 1 inch thick. The soap and soap dish come packaged in a white box with gray across the top and on the ends of the box. And of course the Mary Kay® Time Wise® name on the front.

The price is $18.00.

Using a wet washcloth you should work the cleansing bar into lather. Then apply to your face and neck. Rinse with warm water. Now what I do when I take a shower is simply take and wet my hand and then run it over the soap. I will then take that hand and rub into the other hand to form a lather and then apply to my face and neck. Of course closing my eyes to avoid burning. I will either take and rinse with running water or take a washcloth to rinse.

The soap smells pleasant not heavily scented. Feels really nice on my face and leaves my face feeling clean, soft and smooth. I can really tell a difference after using this cleansing soap. I then follow up with my Mary Kay® Time Wise® Age-Fighting Moisturizer.

How I Feel

I really love Time Wise® Cleansing Bar. Heck I love Mary Kay® products period! But, this bar is wonderful. As I stated above it’s a new product for Mary Kay® and I think it will be a hit. For someone like me who often forgets to use her Time Wise® 3 in 1 cleanser that comes in the cream, this was the perfect design. I am in such a habit of cleaning my face in the shower and I can keep this cleansing bar soap in its soap dish right there at my fingertips. And that I like. I also keep my Mary Kay® Time Wise® 3 in 1 cream in the shower.

When I use it, it feels so wonderful on my face. Really soft and smooth feeling and leaves my face feeling that way. There is not a strong odor at all. And I really like that my face is not left dry feeling or with a soap residue on it. That is always a plus for me.

My husband even uses it and when my son takes a shower in my bathroom I encourage him to use it as well on his face. Convincing him NOT to use it on his body is the problem because he likes the way his face feels too!

Of course the price is high, but it is the same price for the same product that comes in the cream. You now have to choose which you would like to use. Cream or Soap? I think I will be using the soap more! The soap also last a long while because of the dish you store it. It does not take much at all, in fact I think it takes less than the cream. I also enjoy being able to just run my wet hand across the top of the bar and having enough to lather and clean my face. Really, it doesn’t take much!

And I really like the soap dish. I can take it with my whereever I travel to (if I remember that is), but it is also great for keeping the dripping water from the shower from ruining the cleansing bar.

I have to say that I get all my Mary Kay at half price, so I paid $9.00 for my cleansing bar.
