I will start with the CONSof this car: 1) The Zen Estilo VXI model does not come with stock REVERSE alarm and also no LOCK-UNLOCK alarm (BEEP-BEEP sound).
Dealer did offer a offer a security system in exchange with additional cost of ( 1k-3k) depending on model but I did not opt, as it require to completely remove factory fitted and then re wire new one.
Its always good to have above features as it helps locate your car and with car back up alarm, I feel I would have avoided a dent in my car when I hit a Biker while reversing.
2) GEARS are quite hard. Though after 2K kms 1-4 are better than before but even after 3K getting the car in reverse still require little effort and few seconds more.
3) Mileage and performance drops when driven at full AC (fan speed 3 & 4).
PRO
1) The best thing about new ZEN is higher seating. Getting in or out is really comfortable than Santro, Spark or WagonR.
2) Much more colorful interiors than atleast Santro and WagonR
3) Electric Rear view mirror is just Amazing feature in this car
4) The over all FE of the car is great. It takes me 30 mins to cover 8Kms. I get about 14Kmpl. With AC( Fan speed 1) it drops to 11-12.
I maintain a tyre pressure of 36 in all 4 tyres. Its still 2PSI less than what BIMAL showroom pumped.
They say the maximum pressure Bridgeston 155/R13 could be 44PSI. I believe they put 38 for better mileage.
5) Surprsingly performance is not bad on Highway.Car felt stable, when floored, it touched nearly 150 !! This I never imagined that zen can go so fast.
Though, on curves the car is not this good. Taking curves at 120 felt kinda unstable and risky. 90 seems to be the perfect speed.
6) Perfect for for city/traffic driving due to higher seating; also the boot can hold 2 20" inches suitecases and a bag on top of it. ( BEWARE- you cant see anything behind you and thats when I got a DENT in my car :( )
