I bought my first car on 31st March 2010. I went for Zen Estilo LXI. I didnt choose VXI as it was exceeding my budget. I considered i10, Alto before zeroing in on Zen Estilo. i10 is bit overpriced. Also i10 is not good on mileage. As you all know hyundai stands high on maintenance costs compared to maruti.
Alto, I thought would be a smaller car and it would be difficult to get in and get out. Good things about Estilo: It has k series engine which gives better mileage than its predecessors. Secondly, it has all modern features like Power Steering, AC, powered windows( front two only in lxi), digital fuel indicator, keyless entry(which I got as free accessory).
The things which I felt bad about this car or about Maruti in general is: the plastic used inside the car is of cheap quality and floor cover is a very thin material, which may not last for more than 2 years. The front dashboard vibrates in low throttle with higher gears.
Concluding, it is a good car for busy, congested and narrow roads. Also, can be taken out for long distance travel.
