I will have completed 3 months tomorrow with Wagon R.
A few days ago I had my second service carried out at the DD motors Wazirpur depot.
Its amazing to see how they rush cars and cut corners on basic service operations. For example, it is necessary to check for loose nuts and bolts, particularly under the car, tie ends and even gas exaust. On my first service when I had insisted they carried out and found quite some wanting to be tightened. On my second they were less accommodating.
One day after my second service my AC stopped cooling. So here I am with some foreign friends sitting in the car and without AC running to meet an appointment. I go to the DD motors and complain. I am assigned a mechanic who inspects the car so surrely that you wont believe it. But as God knows without looking at things, he announces, you have to leave the car for one or two dats for us to find out what is wrong. I cry a little ore over the managers shoulder, here comes another mechanic, he starts the engine feels the air coolness, takes the car down to near workshop, hears again, and announces, '' The gas has leaked''.
Now I am desperate. And I ask a simple question. How can the ac gas leaked in 2 months. Shoulders shrugg and they offer to REPAIR the ac leakage if I left the car. Which I decline. The graceful manager comes to temporary relief. Offers and fills gas in the car. I say bye and promise to come back for repairs. I am warned either leave the car or come with a few hours of waiting. I say yes. All Marutu behicle seats are woe on your lower back. I am making up my mind to conduct a survey on lower back problems and doctor's bill on Maruti owners.
All I have to do is to stand on road with my forms for a few Sundays. Look at this car. In the first week the clutch is changed. Now they are probably going to find the problem in AC and replace a coil or something. But I wonder at what is happening at the Quality control at MUL? Are they buying from Mayapuri Kabari Market now?
On the brighter side the average has improved. Its averaging 14 to 15 KMPL highway and local.
