There are quite a few of us in our team who drive a Swift. One of us has found out that there is a rear suspension problem in the swift due to which the rear tyres tend to wear out unevenly. He had got it raised with his dealer and got free replacement of the spindle in the rear suspension. Due to the problem he had to replace his tyres in just 35, 000 Km. Now after getting the alignment checked of my car as well I found that the problem is in my car as well. The rear tyre is out of alignment and cant be adjusted by the mechanic but only needs a part replacement
I have also been told that maruti has internally issued a circular to all its dealers to check swifts for this problem and change the part if required free of cost while officially they deny it to the consumer. Have any of you people come across this issue as well.
Will update when I take up this problem with my dealer.
