Excellent in budget, driving pleasure & handling . Review on Maruti Suzuki Swift

My Fifth Review on 18000 KM & 2 years of running

>>Lets talk few & point to point

1. Interior fitting has poor quality , dashboard has rattling sound and poor quality Plastic Clips used.

   
   




2. Better Handling, sharp handling and turn .

   
   

3 . Engine is versatile, can boost upto 6500 rpm till 3rd gear .

4 . Mileage 15-16 in city easily . 18+ on highway and 17 with AC

5 . Paid service took only Rs.274 for filter cleaning and general checkup ( No washing ) as no Oil was required to change @ 17000 km

1. Vxi has much more basic features than any other Car . But Fabia and POLO with same engine is now compared to Swift where Swift still leading to both .

   
   




2. In new Swift , Interior has been changed , Good Handling and better gear shifts introduced .

   
   




3. Will get oil change @ 25000 km and Wheel balancing and alignment @ 20000km which is free for me( free coupon).

   
   




4. In short Petrol version requires a very less maintenance and engine has turbo effect when gears up beyond 3000 rpm . Do whatever you want to do with engine ...its a versatile in its class.

   
   




5. Don't pay enough for services and oil changes until not required .

   
   




6. Using PIONEER Subwoofer and amplifier with pioneer Stereo USB and AUX and cost upto Rs.12k at max. So if u r not getting stereo , get a customized unit set under 5k.

   
   




7. Using FORMULA 1 Premium products for Car Care - F1 Car shampoo , WaxPol Polish , F1 Wax , Dashboard Polish , WindScreen Washer (concentrate)  , Microfiber Cloth( not a cotton cloth) , WAX applicator machine (used once in a month).

   
   




8. Other than any , Swift gives Luxurious feeling coz of its cockpit . I have travelled more than 6 hours journey 2-3 times and uphills tour , the seat is somehow comfortable according to driving and the width and height of seat and dashpanel  offers Sedan feeling !

   
   

At LAST - Mileage 16 in city and 18+ on Highway . With AC , offers 1- 1.5kmpl less than normal so its fuel efficient no doubt .

• Doesn't require frequent and major services due to enhanced K-series engine . Just Paid according to kms or running , not by year !

My 4th review after 10000kms of journey

>>>want to tell you that it was my last  3rd free service which costs me Rs.4300 for Synthetic Oil & Filter change (Free Labour) . Its now giving me mileage 18+ kmpl if driving the car at constant speed upto 80km/hr on Express highway . In city its 15-16 kmpl . Im still loving it , listening music all the time on Sony Xplod 2-way door speakers with Pioneer Music player. I hv just learned the trick to get the maximum mileage which everyone knows well..just keep accelerate with a very little variation in accelerator lifts..slowly push down to accelerate and proportionally lift up your toes on the heel or ankle to accelerate down your car ...less braking, less gear shifting, more is the mileage.

This is my 3rd Review with an Experience of 7000Kms and 2nd Service - almost 9 months of experience. What  have noticed is :

1. No hatchback is there in comparison with Swift's K-series Engine

   
   




2. No hatch back in 1.2L capacity engine comparison to Swift.

   
   




3. Great Handling with 165/175/185 tires even at the speed of 155kms and above.

   
   




4. Fitting of the interior is poor.

   
   




5. Gives feeling of some luxurious big segement Car.

   
   




6. Breaking is good , doesn't gives jerk like other do.

   
   




7. Power steering is very much smooth and sensitive compared to Chevy BEAT, U-Va, FIGO, i20 .

   
   




8. Much spacious , but some ppl found it is not ...actually there's a huge seat adjustment and provide max to minimum leg room space to driver . If u push the seat back , you will find room space for legs larger than any other car.

   
   




9. Seats are much comfortable only if no cushions or seat covers are imposed.

   
   




10. A/C is powerful (95%) bt works even more efficient if windows are black filmed .

    
    




11. Friendly driving and excellent pleasure.

    
    




12. Can experience a huge torque and 84bhp power ...runs on user command .

    
    




13. 1 gear -25km , 2nd @ 6000 rpm upto 85km/hr easily , 3rd @6000rpm 125km/hr easily , 4th @ 5000 upto 150km/hr and 5th gear upto 165 and above (bt not easily) :-D

    
    




14. Excellent braking at speed of 150km/hr on 165 tyres  ...engine heats up in an hour if continously speed up 150km/hr and can show red level warning of engine heat up( didn't try but statistic says)

    
    




15. Fuel efficient , must go with Premium fuels on Highway like XtraPremium , POWER , SPEED and can observe 18kmpl average and 16 or above with A/C ;)

    
    




16. Fog collected on Wind-Screen from inside(driver faced) even in Rainy Seasons and blurred the vision. Even heater or a/c works just for a minute and again fog gets collected on screen .

    
    




17. Required no extra Fueling or Premium Oils used such as gear oil, brake and engine oil .

    
    




18. Suspensions are OK-OK...not too rigid , not so soft ...

    
    




19. Hydraulic clutch plate..and short gear shifts...sexy !!!

    
    

In short it is 4.5/5.0 for me and there's no other second thought after this...Ya can go for 80bhp Chevy Beat :-P
