I got my new Silky Silver Swift Lxi on 21/12 from Sai Services, Pune.
Firstly about dealer.
I read many horror stories about dealers, but overall my experience at Sai Service (fugewadi, Pune) was quite good. In fact I didn't even bothered to visit the showroom till the delivery time. All the paperwork and loan formalities was done from the comforts at home. The sales executive did it all.
I am not good at bargaining at all. But since this was a major purchase, I roped in my dad for the same :-) ! We mwnaged to get a cash dicount of 32000 rupees plus 20% off on the teflon and dinitrol treatment. However, I still haven't received the mats that were promised to me by the sales executive. I tried to contact him twice but he wont pick up his cell. So I called from a diffrent number and was told that it is not in stock and will be despatched to me soon. Still waiting for that.
Just would like to warn you all about such promises. Please do not pay all the down payment till you receive all the freebies offered by them.
The overall service and ambience at Sai Service at the time was good. We were offered coffee while the executive explained the features (I was pretending hard to listen to him and making faces like this is something new to me !!!). Good thing was we were promised delivery at 4 PM and we were actually driving my darling to home at 6 PM. (Quite a prompt service as per Indian time standards !)
Now about the car.....
Few things I noticed within couple of minutes after I laid my hands on my car.
Steering in not precise - Ideally steering should weigh up as the speed increases. But I think swift power steering is not up to the mark in this area. May be this is due to EPS. Also, sometimes if you are turning left or right, it pulls itself in opposite direction. This feels little irritating during sharp turns.
Suspension - Not good as compared to Esteem (which I sold and my heart is still crying for the same). Pune is famous for potholes swift though smooth, literally bumps you up and down. Now dont take me wrong, I love my car and never speed up on a bad roads. But the fact is Esteem is miles ahead as compared to swift as far as riding comfort is concerned.
Some noises - Minor issue. I am noticing a slight noise somewhere from left front seat. My brother in law also owns swift and told me that he got exactlty the same problem in his car as well. He has told me that the problem is in levers in the left front door and I should get it rectified at the first service.
Rest is all good so far. Pickup of the car is amazing and A/C is very effective.
Gears are little hard but should smoothen out eventually.
