If anyone is looking for a petrol car in the range of 4.7 lacs, none can beat the Swift Lxi. It is the delight product of Maruti, no wonder there is still a queue to obtain it. I have been using this since 2007 and after 32000 kms later, I can safely say that this car is like "bajaj scooter" of yesteryears.
Whether you drive it in the city or on the highway, it delivers excellent performance and mileage both. On highways, it delivers a mileage of about 19 kmph with AC on and on city roads, it delivers 14 kmph. The space inside is much better, except for boot space. The boot space is probably the only disappointing factor that Maruti also realized and came out with Swife DeZire. However, at the given price and economics, Swift rules the market.
Maruti cars are not something to write about as far as sophistication is concerned, which Hyundai i20 can provide. It lacks a bit of finesse in the interiors / upholstery, etc, compared to the i20, but otherwise at the given price, the best car is Maruti Swift for anyone who is using the car equally on highways and in the city.
