Hello,
I am Suman from Bengalooru. I am writing this review after we bought a Swift VXi in November 2006. We bought Azure Gray.
We had Omni for 1 year but we were not happy with the Suspension of this vehicle. Tough the vehicle is big for family but it lacks good suspension and AC.
We took our Omni to Mandovi Motors in Lavell Road, Bengalooru, they quoted Rs.180000/- after which we went to Sagar Automobiles, Bannerghatta Road and they quoted Rs.210000/-
So we decided to exchange at Sagar.
We went on a test drive in swift, all of our family members liked it, especially my father liked its suspension it was great. AC was good, it cooled faster.
We bought Swift VXi for Rs.470000/- Dealer kept the promise and delivered the vehicle before the promised date.
MGA was costly at the showroom and also not many designs or brands, so once we bought Swift we went to JC Road and installed the accessories worth Rs.32000/- with a Sony Xplod Amp and Pioneer Woofer.
Once you drive Omni you get used to its height then adjusting for Swift is bit difficult. Now in Swift you will take time to get used to its height, I mean the seat and window height, it’s not easy to reverse the vehicle by peeping your head outside the window.
One problem what I found was the Rubber Quality used on window beedings. I think Maruti Udyog should replace these Rubber under warranty with better ones.
Mileage, I have driven only in City Traffic with AC and Gears either 3 or 4th mostly, it gives me 13KMS.
