Being owner of Optra magnum, I felt Swift ZDI(new version) has lots of improvements than the old swift.
It so happened that one of my friend recently went for new Swift ZDI version as second car. He already has Swift Dzire. So he offered me to drive the car and I was in Driver seat soon as I love to explore serious cars. Before getting into the car I have experience of driving swift too often the car owned by one of my uncles. And that was bit old in terms of KM driven and usage so I had come apprehensions about it.
This review is not technical, and all the relevant information you get in various auto websites.
Pros
1) The moment I stepped into the car, I felt it like premium offering, and here I am comparing with old swift. There was this music system, with various instrument cluster so on so forth. It was red color car, with beige interiors.
2) it comes with side impact beams, abs and 6 air bags, safety wise very good.
3) Once I started driving, I could feel the road grip and confidence that I get driving this car. Road presence was good, with apt handling of curves.
4) We touched 100+ and still can feel that we are safe, and comfortable. There was no wobbling, or sounds of old swift.
5) There was no body roll what so ever.
5) Maruti after sales service has improved quite a bit, and in par with Hyundai now-a-days. Cons
1) Probably its not con but space for storage is still issue, and I felt back seats would be provided with more leg room.8+lac on road seems to be bit over priced.
Overall I felt this is like any sedan, in terms of road grip and stability. And its good VFM provided the on road price is affordable to you.
