Now I can write more on my car, as I have driven 1800 km. I have taken my car delivery on 9th of Feb almost a month before and currently the waiting period at Bangalore is more than 3 months (Shows the demand for the vehicle).First I will discuss about the negatives of the car.*
1) Less boot space which is again a known fact. If you are music savvy and want to put a sub-woofer in the dickey then the boot space for your luggage is almost Nil as I am facing the same problem.
2) Filling fuel has negative experiences, you need to be more careful. As most of the people don’t know about the new swift diesel the petrol bump boys will get confused and will confuse the owner. There was an incident with me on this, one of the petrol swift owners wanted to fill the fuel and followed me into the petrol bunk and he was on a call at that time talking to some one, he saw me filling fuel and followed me and filled diesel instead of petrol. Even the petrol pump guy felt that’s a diesel vehicle and filled the tank with diesel, so be careful guide the boys the moment you enter into the petrol bunk.
3) Poor visibility while taking reverse in my swift, I own Maruthi 800 before and now I became the proud owner of swift diesel. I know the boundaries of my Maruti 800 car and use to take easy reverse but in swift I feel it more difficulty while taking reverse, twice I hit the back bumper to the parking railing near my office, when I went to showroom to give my car for service I asked the service engineer to help me on this and he gave me an idea of how to take reverse with out the help of security, he asked me the place my hand on co-driver’s seat and asked me to raise myself a bit so that I can see a clear view while taking reverse which helped me lot, you can try this.
*Now the Positives

The power, the economy, the comfort you name anything in the car other than the boot space is excellent.
The Power – I want to give a live examples on this.
a) one of my friend owns swift petrol car and he tried my car for a test drive and he was amazed with the car performance and the power and he told me he can’t see any difference BTW the petrol and diesel vehicle except bit of more noise in the diesel vehicle, but when I drove his vehicle I felt diesel is more powerful then the petrol version – comments on this..
b) one more example on this, a friend (santro owner) again who has test driven my car just said this is more powerful then my petrol santro.
I can say the torque in the vehicle really rocks you never feel any difference whether you are driving a petrol or a diesel vehicle.
The economy (Mileage) – Before first service I am getting 15.85 KM per liter on city roads with AC on and I am getting 17.92 KM per liter with AC on .. on highways. I am expecting atleast 2 KM extra on the current mileage after two services, I feel its very good mileage with the power that the machine has on it.
The comfort – For five people the car is very spacious I went to Tirupati with my family five elders and a kid in the car and we all were comfortable in the journey.
