Cannot believe it's going to be 9 years this July. The car has done 98000 kms and with no problems whatsoever.
Have taken her to pune, goa, hyderabad, shirdi, diveagar, singhgad fort etc, no problem at all.
Honestly you don't need to read the review to make the decision but I felt I should update the same because I promised(8 years back!) That I will update it. Cheers!

The car is exactly 16 months old. Its an amazing value for money car and though some people envy the looks of this car, the performance is really something which lets every one shut up whoever hates maruti.
Took her to Bombay Puna express highway where I went till 160.no vibrations.and on that drive, the car returned fuel economy of 20 Kmpl!
Very recently toook her on a non stop drive of 310 kilometers and it ran like a dream. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE QUALITY OF DIESEL WHICH U FILL.
The car does not rattle. Braking is no problem. I have taken her to 150 Kilometres per hour with 3 people in the car and it was smooth as butter.The AC is amazing.I miss rear wiper though

Amazing is the word which comes to your mind when you get your hands on this bad boy named Swift diesel. Am no auto expert but man this car rocks!
Some Points:
If you are looking for a Logan-Butt kind of a space in the boot.stay away u will be disappointed
If you are a strict petrol head then stay away.this is a diesel version
If you want a very roomy LOGAN-LIKE rear seat unit.stay away.the back is a little cramped when compared to a'COMPROMISED SEDAN NAMED LOGAN'
Some more points:
The Diesel swift literally begs you to drive it hard.the pick up, I found was much better than the petrol version.it gives you a powerful feel.and the car does not make silly noises.
The fuel efficiency is good for my colleague has aleady done 7000 kilometres and he says it gives around 18-19 in HYDERABAD CITY roads with AC always on.which by the way is very effective.
The suspensions are OK
The peppy feeling that you get when u start and vrooom.is something that U will relish for a long time
Boot space is ok. Contrary to what many people think, SWIFT does not qualify for small car benefits in India since its a litle longer.so boot is also reasonable
I had nearly zeroed down on an american car but THANK GOD I got my hands on this one.I WILL keep on posting the reports for benefit of others.

*ONE MOST IMPORTANT POINT TO NOTE IS DEALERS
I BOUGHT my car from saboo motors hyderabad and they have cheated me a lot.WITHOUT ME REQUESTING FOR ANYTHING.THEY HAVE FITTED CENTRAL LOCKING WORTH 6200 RUPEES AND CHARGED ME THE MONEY.I FELT ARM TWISTED.AND I DONT RECOMMEND SABOO MOTORS TO ANYONE.IF AT ALL U HAVE TO BUY IT, THEN GO TO VARUN.THE GUYS THERE WERE NOT GREAT BUT YES.BETTER THAN SABOO.I WILL FLAG THIS TO MARUTI SOMETIME I AM SURE THE WAY THEY ARM TWISTED ME.AND ESPECIALLY A FELLOW THERE WHO ALLOTS CARS.HE USED FOUL LANGUAGE AND SAID A LOT OF IMMORAL THINGS TO ME!
There is a strong waiting period goin on for swift diesel.I am told minimum 3-4 months. NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS.JUST DONT TRUST SABOO.U WILL HAVE IT VERY BADLY.REST LEAVE IT ON U GUYS TO VENTURE URSELF.
FORGET IT.THE CUSTOMER IS NOT A KING IN THIS CASE!
