Swift is one the best selling hatchback from around 5 years in the indian market . I own this car a nd here is why? . It features a 1248 cc diesel engine which produces a peak power of 74 BHP and 190 NM of torque . The diesel engine yet powerfull with a great amount of accelerator response . It crosses 100 kmph mark under 10 seconds . If the great shifts are perfect . And the high end speed of the car is also class leading which is 140 kmph under 16 seconds. Said it all . You still get around 22 kmpl in all driving conditions . Weather traffic or highway . The onroad price compared to the hatch of same segment is 50k to 1lkh cheaper and yet fully equipped and loaded with music system, ABS,EBD 2 airbags,4 power windows . Which when compared to other cars are missing . The maintanance of the car is equal to nil . For first 20000 kms after that you have to pay charges for full oil change of all parts and check up and you ar good to go . After this the mileage drastically increases to 25 kmpl with greater acceleration . As I said its a trusted car and you can go anywhere and anytime .
